Adaesi Ukairo expresses in tangible form the fluid movement of energy.

Using hammers and forming stakes she raises her sculptural forms from flat sheet, moulding and shaping intuitively, creating distinct, highly textured and patinated pieces of work.

At present copper and brass are her chosen materials. They are warm reflectors of light, and possess the unique qualities of malleability and strength which enable experiment and exploration, essential to her creative practice.

Through observation and contemplation she expresses her thoughts in the form of a physical language. Seeking  structure and balance, the fragmented energies that connect us all, are captured in singular harmonious form. Undule, Phlat, Miri, and Crush

For any information on work shown here, please get in touch through her contact page.

She enjoys the collaborative process of working to commission for the home as well as site specific locations.
